Christmas Eve

Christmas eve is when my family celebrates Christmas.  I try to tell my non-Filipino friends that Christmas is the bigger holiday for Filipinos.  I grew up never really celebrating New Years with my family.  My parents would retire early after watching the count down and wake up early on New Year's Day to watch the Rose Parade on TV while my cousins and aunt would sometimes come over.

Christmas eve was so crazy at my cousin's house this year though.  My cousins friends were over and our family is growing bigger and bigger each year.  Everyone has children and everyone is getting married.  We have over 20 people at our family parties now, yet still SO much good Filipino food!  This year, the hard liquor was brought to the party, and then some other stuff, so a lot of people were outta their minds.  We took Patron Tequila shots and my cousins took shots of a lot of other stuff that once it turned 12am for people to open their Christmas presents, I had a niece that were knocked out in bed after throwing up all over herself, haha.  Christmas is always fun with my family though because there's so many games we play now and money is usually the prize from guessing the color of my cousin's underwear, to finding Christmas stickers in the house.

Good times shared by all.  This is a picture with me and my cousins' children.  Happy Holidays!
