In the Philippines, they make "paroles" around this time of year. When I was driving down Temple Street in Historic Filipinotown, Echo Park, last week, I had to take a picture of the paroles that they have up against the light posts because it really reminded me of the Philippines.They are much more elaborate than these but for those who have never seen them, I hope this picture gives you an idea.
