Orfeu Negro and LA rooftops

Sunday evening spent on a rooftop in LA, overlooking the streets of downtown during sunset. Started off with some Samba and then moved into a capoeira roda. Prior to the playing of Orfeu Negro, we enjoyed an introduction by Fabiano do Nascimiento on the guitar as he played acoustic songs from his guitar taken from the soundtrack of the movie.

Spent the rest of the night hanging out with Xochitl and her capoeira family. A girls night out over Pho, Vietnamese crepe and vegetarian spring rolls. Ended the night chillin' at Xochitl's crib, as she introduces the song "India/Love and Happiness", a mixture of Brasilian sound and house music. What a way to spend a Sunday =)
