I'm watching my parents grow old right before my very eyes. Yet their minds are getting more childlike and I am learning the responsibility of what it means to be an adult.
My dad's knee has not been good to him and my mom's shoulders are not as strong as they used to be.
Since I have relied on them for so many years to give me strength, I have come to understand that now is the time for them to rely on me. For them, the time has begun for me to be strong and show them all the goodness, values and strength they have taught me all these years. Now is the time for them to lean on me, as I have leaned on them.
I am their rock.
