My best friend and sister, Mari Nakano, is moving to NY this month. I am both happy and sad for her. We met in 2001, while participating in a UCLA summer program in Hawai'i and have been friends since. This girl knows the "ins and outs" of me and has been my sister thru it all. 8 years later, she is married, finished her master's degree in Media Design from Art Center, and is moving with her husband to Brooklyn. I'm going to miss hanging out with her in LA but now, I have another reason and another person to visit in NY.
LA and I will miss you Mari-chan, but I wish you the best on this new chapter in your life.
